Getting started

Invite officers and members

Understand sign-in, roles and the safest way to bring people into the club record.

Quick version

  1. Open the workspace’s member or officer access area.
  2. Add the person’s name and email address, then choose the role they need.
  3. Send the invitation and tell the recipient to use the newest email.
  4. Ask the recipient to confirm that they can see the correct club before editing records.
  5. Remove or change access when an officer leaves the role.

Use a role that matches the work

Give editing access only to people who need to maintain the club record. A small club can keep the working group compact; the important part is that at least two current officers understand who can make changes and where the handover record lives.

Send the invitation

Enter the recipient’s name and email in the access flow and send the invitation. If a person requests a new invitation, use the newest message: older links may have expired or already been completed.

Confirm the right tenant

The same email address can be associated with a normal Firetender tenant and the platform admin area. After accepting an invitation, confirm the club name and edition in the workspace before making changes. If the wrong tenant opens, sign out and use the invitation again from the intended account.

When an officer changes

Update access as part of the handover, not weeks later. Remove access that is no longer needed, add the incoming officer and leave a short note about where the current member and dues records are found.
