Why Firetender exists: a calmer handover for volunteer-led clubs

A short note on the recurring club work Firetender is designed to make easier: members, dues, meetings and the handover between officers.

The work between the meetings matters

Volunteer-led clubs do important work with limited time. The difficult part is rarely one dramatic task; it is finding the current member list, remembering what was agreed, checking who has paid and giving the next officer enough context to continue.

A shared record, without a larger system to manage

Firetender brings that recurring work into one club workspace. It is deliberately focused: member records, dues periods, payment history, meetings, attendance, activities and follow-up live together without asking a volunteer board to become a software department.

Built around the handover

The measure of a good club system is not only what the current treasurer can do. It is whether the next treasurer can understand the record, trust the history and pick up the work without reconstructing it from inboxes and spreadsheets. That is the standard we are building toward.
